Chimney Sweeping

At Churchleys Chimneys we are experienced in cleaning stoves, fireplaces and different flues.  We use traditional sweeping methods to clean your chimney flue leaving your flue in a clean and safe condition.  Our sweeps have been trained and assessed by the National Association of Chimney Sweeps. Our sweeps will visually inspect your chimney/flue and appliances before starting the sweep. Once the work is done and the sweep is happy with the appliance and the flue they will issue you with a with a Certificate of Chimney Sweeping for your home insurance.  
 

Nest Removal 

If you suspect you have a bird's nest within your chimney/flue. Birds' nests can block flues causing the build up of dangerous fumes. Churchleys Chimneys can assist in the safe removal of nests depending on the time of year.  Our sweeps adhere to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 which governs when nests can be removed. Upon conclusion of the bird nest removal your sweep will inspect the flue with video footage to ensure that all of the nest has been removed.

Each nest is different and the time taken to remove can vary from chimney to chimney.   Please give us a call to discuss.

CCTV Inspections and Surveys

Churchleys Chimney sweeps carry state of the art CCTV systems with us at all times.  The cameras are attached to the sweep's rods and pushed up the sealed chimneys to prevent the escape of soot into your home.  At Churchleys Chimneys we will always sweep the chimney before using our cameras, this allows us to see/capture the best images of the flue/liner.  We will report on any perished joints, damage to the flue/liner such as holes or cracks.  The CCTV inspection/survey will give a great insight into the condition of the flue/liner - and you will be supplied with a copy of this. If you have concerns that there is a leak in the flue/liner then we recommend a smoke test as this is the only way to properly show the integrity of the flue and will clearly determine if there are any leaks.
